AMEN SAM TERNE – We are Young

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Dikh He Na Bister, we have built the exhibition “Amen sam terne” to tell our story, our truth: We are the youth, we echo the voices of our ancestors, and build the voice of our generation. We trace Roma Youth Movements – Dikh He Na Bister and more – and present strong young voices from our communities. You will even spot some of our team members and participants in the exhibition! Many Roads, One Heart – from one voice to another: We invite you to become a part of the exhibition, with a message, a hope, a note, and to also take…

Youth for Remembrance – Handbook on Youth-Led Remembrance of the Roma and Sinti Holocaust

The publication "Youth for Remembrance - Handbook on Youth-Led Remembrance of the Roma and Sinti Holocaust" provides a detailed approach to youth-led remembrance efforts, with a focus on the Roma and Sinti Holocaust and its relevance in modern society. It allows young people to develop and organize innovative, community-based commemorations that remember the past while addressing ongoing concerns such as antigypsyism and shrinking democratic spaces. The handbook contains examples of grassroots initiatives, tools, and approaches that can be used to encourage high-quality, sustainable activities and amplify the voices of young people.

    Songs of the sorrow times

The RomArchive, hosted by the Documentation and Cultural Center of German Sinti and Roma, is a valuable source of the stories and narratives provided by the victims themselves and it contributes much of lesser known historical texts to improve places and narratives of remembrance. The RomArchive (www.romarchive.eu) creates an internationally accessible, reliable online source of knowledge, which counters stereotypes and prejudices with facts. For the first time, the story of the genocide committed against the Romani minority was told exclusively from the perspective of the victims. Therefore, the sources can establish counter-narratives for Roma youth organisations to use in their educational work. As part of the project “Dikh He Na Bister…

Training in Paris and Raymond Gurême Tribute

Dikh He Na Bister meets every year with the facilitators to prepare them in the best way for the workshops in Poland. This year, the meeting was held in Paris, a good opportunity to also pay our tribute to Raymond Gurême’s place of rest. Our friends and partners from La voix des Roms assisted us in creating a very beautifully packed agenda so that the training had, besides daily educational sessions, interesting visits in Paris and surroundings. The first day welcomed the group of facilitators, media team and participants for their first session, allowing them to get to know each other. The former participants managed to share their experiences, they exchanged…
